Journey To Peace, LLC
Policies
Use of Social Media:
We do not accept any friend requests on any social media platform (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.) from any current or future client. We believe that adding clients as friends on these sites would compromise our clients’ confidentiality as well as impact our respective privacy. We also believe that contact on social media blurs the lines and impacts the therapeutic relationship negatively.
You may be aware that we have both a professional website and a professional Facebook page on which we post articles or blog posts that we find insightful and helpful. We never expect any of our clients to “like” or “follow” the Facebook page, and expect all of our clients to be aware that “liking” or “following” the professional Facebook page may compromise your confidentiality as a client. You are welcome to do so if you feel comfortable, and we will be able to process any comments/reactions you have in person during your next session. Please note that we will not respond to any comments you may post in reaction to articles we may share in order to protect your confidentiality.
Use of Email & Text Messages:
Please note that email and text messages are not considered HIPAA compliant forms of communication. You may contact us through these platforms; however, please be aware that if you choose to do so, you may compromise your confidentiality. Because email and text are not secure platforms, please note that we will only email and/or text about scheduling appointments.
If you communicate confidential or private information via text or email, we will assume that you have made an informed decision, will view it as your agreement to take the risk that such communication may be intercepted; however, we will not respond over unsecured platforms and will request that you schedule an appointment to discuss your concerns. Please do not use e-mail for emergencies. Due to computer or network problems, emails may not be deliverable, and we may not check my emails daily.
Clinical Supervision
I have completed the Clinical Supervision course through NASW and am happy to provide individual and group supervision to LSWs seeking clinical licensure.
The rate for clinical supervision is $75 per hour. This rate can be split between two people for group supervision; however groups of 4 will require at least a 90 minute supervision in order to allow each individual the opportunity to present cases and receive feedback ($175/session).
